Salesforce and Anthropic announced a sweeping expansion of their partnership, branded “Claudeforce,” that embeds Salesforce’s CRM platform directly inside Anthropic’s Claude AI. The centerpiece product, called Salesforce in Claude, ships with 37 pre-built sales skills covering everything from meeting preparation to deal health reviews and pipeline analysis. Sellers can query, update, and act on live CRM data without leaving Claude’s interface. It’s available to select pilot customers now, with an open beta planned for September.
A $5 billion vote of confidence
Salesforce’s investment in Anthropic was valued at approximately $5 billion as of mid-2026. The company also plans to spend around $300 million on Anthropic tokens in 2026 alone, primarily to power internal coding workloads.
The integration runs on Anthropic’s Model Context Protocol (MCP), an open standard that allows AI models to interact with external tools and data sources in real time. Salesforce added support for MCP Apps in February 2026, enabling bi-directional flows of context between its platform and Claude. Hosted MCP Servers reached general availability in April, providing secure connection infrastructure for AI agents operating in enterprise environments.
