The National Institute of Technology-Calicut (NIT-C) has set up a Centre for Creative Economy and Public Policy as an interdisciplinary platform to support the emerging areas of creative and orange economy.According to a press release on Wednesday (September 2, 2026), the centre shall develop and offer courses and electives, and conduct executive education, capacity building and continuing education programmes in public policy, creative economy, and allied areas.Prasad Krishna, Director, NIT-C, said that it is the first-of-its-kind initiative in an institution of higher learning in the country.
