Sibanye-Stillwater has turned a $211 million loss into a $1.1 billion profit within one year after rising gold and platinum-group metal prices transformed its finances.
The South African miner reported profit of $1.15 billion (R18.81 billion) for the six months ended June, compared with a $211 million (R3.91 billion) loss during the same period of 2025.
Revenue increased 64% to a record $5.48 billion (R89.98 billion).
The recovery allowed Sibanye to declare an interim dividend of approximately $352 million (R5.69 billion), equivalent to 201 South African cents per share.
