Ford’s latest recall affects 148,663 seventh-generation Mustangs. The popular sports car has engine compartment ground eyelet terminals that could experience fatigue fractures, resulting in a cascade of potential problems, including the loss of engine power.
The recall affects the 2024-2026 Mustang. According to the recall report, the heat-shrink material adhesive on the engine's wiring harness can intrude into the eyelet. If this happens, vehicle vibrations can weaken the eyelet, reduce its lifespan, and cause a fracture.
