Crystal Temptations is recalling its Halloween Chocolatey Eyeballs after the candy was found to contain undeclared milk allergens, the company announced Monday. Consuming the product poses a serious or potentially fatal risk to anyone with a milk allergy or sensitivity, the company warned.
The North Arlington, New Jersey-based company said the recalled candy was distributed through Marshalls, TJ Maxx, HomeGoods, and Sierra Trading Post locations in 13 states: Arizona, California, Connecticut, Georgia, Indiana, Massachusetts, Nevada, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Texas, Virginia, and Wyoming.
Five package types are covered by the recall, all sold under the Crystal Temptations brand name: a 10-ounce plastic bag (style number 54040-CHEY), a 7-ounce acrylic box (54077-CHEY), a 10.5-ounce round plastic jar (58008-CHEY), a 16-ounce plastic pouch bag (58089-CHEY), and an 11-ounce plastic bag tied with a tag (54083-CHEY).
