Hundreds of firefighters have descended on a trading estate in south Bristol this afternoon after a massive fire broke out.
Emergency crews scrambled to Dixon Road in the Brislington neighbourhood with roads cordoned off and reports from the scene of “hundreds” of firefighters.
Avon Fire and Rescue Service has said that crews from nine different stations have attended the incident.
Avon Fire and rescue said the fire was being brought under control earlier this evening, with the number of emergency crews scaled back.
Images from the scene show firefighters working into the night to damp down the blaze, which appeared to have completely gutted a multi-story building. Flames can be seen inside the building and on the roof as high-pressure hoses pour water into the blackened building.
