More than 100 firefighters are tackling a large industrial unit fire in Essex, and an ambulance service has declared a critical incident over the blaze.
Fire crews were called to the blaze on Southend Road, between East Hanningfield and Rettendon, at 4.50pm on Friday, according to Essex County Fire and Rescue Service’s website.
At 6.30pm, the fire service posted an update to say more than 100 firefighters were working at the site.
