The Federal Road Safety Corps has recovered a stolen white pick-up vehicle in the Federal Capital Territory and handed it over to the Nigeria Police Force for further investigation.
The vehicle, a white pick-up with registration number YAB 677 XD, was recovered in the early hours of Sunday, August 23, 2026, at about 3 am by the Tow Truck Team of the RS7.1 FCT Sector Command along the expressway leading to Berger in the Wuye axis of Abuja.
In a statement signed by the Corps Public Education Officer, Osondu Ohaeri, on Tuesday, the Corps said the recovery demonstrated the effectiveness of its operational intelligence, vigilance and prompt-response mechanisms, particularly in situations where road safety operations intersect with broader public security concerns.
The FRSC said its personnel discovered the original vehicle documents inside the vehicle and used a telephone number contained in the documents to trace and contact the purported owner. The owner was informed of the recovery, following which arrangements were made to transfer the vehicle to the appropriate security authority for further investigation.
The statement partly read, “The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has recorded another significant operational breakthrough in the Federal Capital Territory with the recovery of a stolen white pick-up vehicle and its subsequent handover to the Nigeria Police Force for further investigation.
