The Federal Road Safety Corps, Anambra State Sector Command, has recovered a double-barrel gun from the scene of a road traffic crash along the Awka-Enugu Expressway.

The recovery was disclosed in a statement issued on Sunday by the Deputy Corps Commander and Corps Public Education Officer, FRSC, Osondu Ohaeri.

Ohaeri said the firearm was recovered on Friday at about 2:30 p.m. by an FRSC rescue patrol team while conducting a routine inventory of victims’ belongings after concluding rescue operations at the crash scene.

He added that the recovery demonstrates that the Corps’ rescue operations extend beyond saving lives to making meaningful contributions to national security.
