The Federal Road Safety Corps has condemned a violent armed attack carried out by a motorist later identified as an operative of the Department of State Services (DSS) during a routine traffic enforcement operation in Abuja.

The incident, according to the Corps, occurred on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at about 3:20pm around the RS7.118 Idu Unit Command in Abuja, when FRSC patrol officials attempted to stop the driver of a Toyota Carina over an alleged traffic violation.
