After a 10-month pause, Google Wallet is now rolling out support for Ohio state IDs on Android.

Open the Google Wallet app, tap the ‘plus’ button next to “View more” at the bottom, IDs & personal info, and then Driver’s license or state ID. This reveals Ohio as the 12th Google Wallet option. It joins Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Georgia, Iowa, Maryland, Montana, New Mexico, North Dakota, and Puerto Rico.

The card design shows the Northern Cardinal, which is Ohio’s state bird.

The set-up process requires taking photos of the front and back of your physical card, as well as a short video of your face for verification that gets sent to the OH BMV. This review can take a few minutes with a notification confirming once it’s available. You’ll also get an email confirmation from the state agency.

First, tap on the reader or scan your QR code: Your personal info won’t be shared yet. On your phone, review what info you want to share.
