After the tenth addition earlier this month, Google Wallet on Android is now rolling out support for Puerto Rico IDs.
Open the Google Wallet app, tap the Add to Wallet FAB (floating action button) in the corner, and then Driver’s license or state ID. This reveals Puerto Rico as the 11th Google Wallet option. It joins Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Georgia, Iowa, Maryland, Montana, New Mexico, and North Dakota.
In terms of card design, it shows the coquí frog, with a seal in the bottom-left corner. Upcoming availability was previewed in April 2025.
The set-up process involves taking photos of the front and back of your physical card, as well as a short video of your face for verification that gets sent to the PR DTOP. This review can take a few minutes with a notification confirming once it’s available. You’ll also get an emailed confirmation from the agency.
