Gudeng Precision Industrial Co (家登精密), which supplies wafer pods and reticle carriers to the world’s major semiconductor companies, yesterday said that it expects revenue from advanced packaging wafer carriers to grow at a double-digit percentage annually through 2028 as customers ramp up production. “We believe the revenue contribution from advanced packaging [wafer carriers] will grow gradually,” Gudeng chairman Bill Chiu (邱銘乾) told a media gathering in Taipei. “The company has been focusing on developing high-end wafer carriers over the past 20 years and aims to secure a large customer base around the world.” Gudeng has expanded its product portfolio to the advanced packaging segment since 2019 to supply circular and square wafer carriers. The company is a key supplier of extreme ultraviolet lithography pods to Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co (TSMC, 台積電), and counts Intel Corp and major Chinese chipmakers among its customers.
