The Mellizas hybrid project, developed with Chilean partner Ciudad Luz, involves construction of a 218-MW solar photovoltaic plant and a co-located 800 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS). The project will span about 300 hectares (741 acres) in Pemuco in the Nuble region.Environmental approval allows the Mellizas project to move into its next development stages, Korkia said.Separately, the Beltran project, developed with Solar Ray, has reached ready-to-build status.
