Iranian drone attacks on Gulf states and Jordan have failed to achieve their objectives, according to the UAE's diplomatic adviser to President Sheikh Mohamed.
The UAE Ministry of Defence intercepted an Iranian drone over its territorial waters, denying reports that Al Minhad Air Base near Dubai was struck.
Jordan's air defences intercepted eight missiles after Iran targeted two military bases, claiming the strikes were retaliation for US action near the Strait of Hormuz.
US Central Command said its forces took "limited, precise action" against Iran's minelaying operations, which posed an imminent threat to navigation in the strait.
