Eggs recalled in the US over a Salmonella outbreak are not available in the UAE, following a review of import records and local market data.

At least 98 people across more than a dozen US states have been infected, with 26 hospitalisations reported linked to the recalled eggs.

The recalled eggs, sold under brands including Kroger and Simple Truth, had sell-by dates ranging from 20 July to 17 August.

This is the second such reassurance in recent weeks, following a similar confirmation that recalled frozen berry products had not entered the UAE market.
