The UAE has confirmed no recalled GreenWise frozen berry products were imported or sold in the Emirates, following a US contamination scare.

Publix recalled four varieties of organic frozen blueberries and mixed berries across eight US states on 29th July over possible E. coli contamination.

The US Food and Drug Administration classified the recall as "Class 1", its highest health risk level, citing a probability of serious health consequences.

Twelve E. coli cases were reported in Florida and Georgia between 11th May and 5th June, though no deaths have been recorded.
