Kyiv and the Kyiv region are preparing a differentiated air raid alert system, fewer train stops, and round-the-clock operation of railway stations.
Ukraine's Minister for Restoration, Infrastructure and Transport, Mykola Kalashnyk, said this in a Telegram post, according to Ukrinform.
"I held an operational meeting with the Ukrzaliznytsia team led by Oleksandr Pertsovskyi, the Kyiv City Military Administration, and military command. We are developing solutions to keep transportation and logistics operating during prolonged air raid alerts," the post said.
The safety of people is the top priority, Kalashnyk said. At the same time, the country needs to ensure the stable movement of trains connecting all parts of Ukraine. Ukrzaliznytsia continues to develop threat monitoring and response systems in coordination with the military.
