Three persons were killed in head-on collision between two two-wheelers near Sriperumbudur on Saturday night. One person is battling for life. The police said Duraipandi, 26, a native of Madurai, who was employed as a human resource manager at a private company in the Vallam SIPCOT industrial estate, and his colleague Yuvaraj, 23, hailing from Panruti, were traveling towards Vallam on a motorcycle on the service lane of the Chengalpattu–Sriperumbudur Highway in Oragadam.As they were approaching the Oragadam junction near Mathur, a high-end two-wheeler driven in a rash manner by Monish with his friend Dharshan in the pillion rammed against their bike. In the head-on collision , all four sustained severe injuries. Local residents sent the four injured persons to Sriperumbudur Government Hospital where Duraipandi and Yuvaraj succumbed to their injuries at the hospital.Meanwhile, Monish and Dharshan, were rushed to the Chengalpattu Government Hospital, where Dharshan succumbed to injuries. Monish is battling for life in the intensive care unit of the hospital.The Oragadam police have registered a case and are investigating. Published - August 30, 2026 11:49 pm IST
