OLONGAPO CITY — A three-year-old boy who was swept away by rushing floodwaters in Barangay Old Cabalan in this city was found dead along the boardwalk area inside the Subic Bay Freeport on Sunday afternoon, Aug. 30.
Jeffrey Lapid, head of the Olongapo City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO), said the boy was found at 2:15 p.m. after some children spotted his body at the boardwalk and immediately reported it to authorities.
The boy went missing on Aug. 29 after floodwaters entered his family’s home in Villa Meranda, Old Cabalan Forestry.
