Ukraine must develop its own method of conducting military operations, according to Defense Minister Yevhen Khmara.
As reported by Ukrinform, citing “ArmyInform,” this is mentioned in an article by the American publication “The National Interest” about the new defense minister, who previously headed the Special Operations Center of the Security Service of Ukraine and later led the service itself.
The publication notes that it was under Khmara’s leadership that Ukraine intensified its campaign of long-range strikes against strategic targets in Russia, particularly the oil refining industry, and now he faces the task of managing the vast system that supplies the Ukrainian army with weapons, personnel, and resources.
The publication pays particular attention to his approach to utilizing limited resources and his collaboration with the new Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Major General Mykhailo Drapaty.
According to the author of the article, it is precisely Khmara’s ability to view the war as a system—rather than merely as a collection of individual operations—that could become his key advantage in his new position.
