Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy assured that the government will undertake a comprehensive survey of lands across the State within the next year and issue pattadar passbooks to eligible landowners.
The government is taking measures to provide a permanent solution to land-related disputes that had remained unresolved for decades, they said. Mr. Venkat Reddy said that issuing pattadar passbooks was the appropriate solution to the decades-old land problems faced by farmers. Legal ownership of land would give farmers confidence and enable them to access benefits such as Rythu Bharosa and Rythu Bima, he said.
Mr. Srinivas Reddy said that they have solved a 70-year-old land issue of farmers cultivating their lands and gave them pattas to enjoy full benefits. The Ministers distributed pattadar passbooks for 1,044 acres to 1,061 farmers from 15 villages in Nuthankal and Maddirala mandals.
