JAGTIALRevenue and Housing Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy said that the government is taking concrete steps to find a permanent solution to land-related issues through the ongoing resurvey under the Integrated Bhu Bharati portal.The resurvey of all agricultural and abadi lands is targeted for completion within one-and-a-half year, he said.Mr. Reddy was speaking at an interactive session with beneficiaries of the Indiramma Housing Scheme in Jagtial on Friday. He, along with Social Welfare Minister Adluri Laxman Kumar, visited the Nookapally 2-BHK Housing Colony near Jagtial and participated in housewarming ceremonies of some beneficiaries.The Minister also laid foundation stones for several government office buildings, including the Revenue Divisional Office buildings in Jagtial and Metpalli.Mr. Reddy said in the first phase of the resurvey of lands was underway in 70 villages across the State, including identified villages in Jagtial district.Pattadar passbooks would be issued to all eligible farmers after completion of the resurvey, while fake passbooks would be identified and cancelled following due process, he said.He alleged that some ineligible persons had availed themselves of Rythu Bandhu benefits using fake pattadar passbooks during the previous BRS government. The resurvey would help resolve land-related issues transparently while protecting the rights of genuine farmers.Mr. Reddy alleged that the previous government had neglected basic amenities at the Nookapalli 2-BHK colony. The Congress government had released ₹32 crore after assuming office for drinking water, drainage, electricity and other amenities, he said.Funds would be released in the second phase for a school building and other facilities. Officials had been instructed to establish a ration shop and provide a bus service to the colony, he added.The Minister said the government was committed to ensuring that every eligible poor family get a house and that no poor family in the State remained without a home.Later, the Minister reviewed land resurvey, housing and revenue related issues with Collectors of the erstwhile composite Karimnagar district in Jagtial.According to official sources, the Minister ordered the suspension of the Yellareddypet Tahsildar in Rajanna Sircilla district following complaints of dereliction of duty.He directed the officials to expedite the land resurvey and construction of Indiramma houses and resolve “22-A and assigned land” cases transparently.
