The enhanced southwest monsoon or habagat is bringing monsoon rain to Metro Manila, Ilocos Sur, Pangasinan, La Union, Benguet, Bataan, Zambales, Tarlac, Pampanga, Bulacan, Rizal, and Cavite
At least 12 areas in Luzon are experiencing monsoon rain due to the enhanced southwest monsoon, with heavy rain expected to continue over the weekend.
Two low pressure areas (LPAs) are being monitored, one with a low chance and another with a high chance of developing into a tropical depression, which will be named Pilandok upon entering the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
PAGASA has issued heavy rainfall outlooks for various regions, warning residents in low-lying areas to be vigilant against potential floods and landslides.
