IRAN’S Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei, has praised the government for providing services to the public amid the US-Israeli war and in the face of heavy sanctions.
In a written statement, he, however, called on the government to work towards resolving economic hardships, urging it to rely on domestic production rather than imports.
Khamenei highlighted “the need to pay serious attention to the chain of economic-livelihood challenges such as inflation, unemployment, price management and the market for goods and services, and to pay special attention to some other elements of the economy such as growth, increasing investment and directing it towards useful and needed directions, booming production, gradually dropping the dollar from its important role, and ultimately, making it the centerpiece of the set of resistance economy policies”.
The statement also urged authorities to avoid any discouraging statements that weaken national motivation.
