Piraeus Port Authority, which operates Greece’s biggest port, wants to expand its activities both domestically and abroad.
To this effect, it held an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders Thursday to amend its Articles of Association, specifically articles 2 and 18, to allow the company to expand its activities.
For the time being, Piraeus Port Authority does not envisage taking over other ports.
Rather, it plans to expand its footprint on the supply chain throughout the Mediterranean by expanding into logistics and other infrastructure projects.
“Establishing a subsidiary company contributes to the further enhancement of supply chain (logistics) services, a sector of particular importance for the future of the company.
