The Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL) table tennis team finished second at the recently held All India Inter-Steel Table Tennis Championship at the Durgapur Steel Plant in West Bengal.Organised under the aegis of the Steel Plant Sports Board, New Delhi, the tournament witnessed competitive performances from major steel manufacturing units across the country.Coached by Ashish Paul, the silver-medalling RINL team included Deepankar Akash, Vardaan Mishra, PMC Ravi Varma, and P. Maheedhar Varma.Company officials said the podium finish is as a significant morale booster for the organisation’s sporting fraternity. They highlighted RINL’s persistent focus on encouraging employee welfare and competitive sports participation alongside professional duties.The team expressed their appreciation to the RINL management for facilitating their travel and participation in the national-level event.
