The II Town police traced a four-year-old girl within six hours after she was allegedly abducted by two motorcycle-borne persons near the railway station in the early hours of Friday.According to the police, the girl, Parvathi, was sleeping on a footpath with her parents, Seshamma and Abdul Ghani, when the incident occurred. At around 1.40 a.m., Seshamma noticed that her daughter was missing and alerted the Railway Protection Force (RPF). The information was subsequently passed on to the II Town police.The police launched a search operation and formed multiple teams to trace the child. During the investigation, they examined CCTV footage from the surrounding areas and found visuals purportedly showing two persons on a motorcycle taking the girl away.The footage helped the police identify the suspected accused as K. Upendra of Vizianagaram and A. Prathibha Rao of S. Rayavaram. The police tracked their movements to S. Rayavaram in Anakapalli district, where the girl was traced and safely rescued.The police suspect that the two abandoned the child at S. Rayavaram after panicking following the launch of an extensive search for her. Special teams have been formed to trace and arrest the suspects.Further investigation is on.
