MANILA, Philippines — Interior and Local Government Secretary Jonvic Remulla flagged allegedly “extremist conversations by international groomers” on the online game Roblox.
“You can see, on Roblox, there’s a chat group on the side. There are a lot of people encouraging them. The languages used are criminal in nature, inciting teenagers to violence,” Remulla explained in a press briefing in Camp Crame on Friday.
“We saw extremist conversations on Roblox. That’s where we saw them, but with other first-person shooter games, we haven’t seen that as extensively as what we’ve seen on Roblox. The scale of the grooming is also international,” he noted.
