My thoughts and prayers are with the people of Nepal, especially those who have lost loved ones and families still anxiously awaiting news of those who remain missing,” he said in a Facebook post yesterday.He also prayed that ongoing search and rescue operations would be eased and those still in danger brought to safety.“May every family affected by this tragedy be given strength and resilience in the days ahead,” he said.According to a tally released by Nepal’s tourism board, as of 5.30 pm local time (7.45 pm Malaysian time) on Thursday, the death toll from the devastating floods rose to 359. — Bernama
