Man Buys $100K Cybertruck. 2 Years Later, He Learns What It’s Worth: ‘I Put 25,000 Miles On It’

Nearly all cars depreciate, especially new ones. The rate of depreciation came as a surprise to a Tesla Cybertruck driver.

Jeremy Judkins (@jeremyjudkins2) posted a video about how much value he lost on his EV since buying it in April 2024. His clip begins with “unboxing” footage of a brand new Cybertruck. Plastic covers are slipped off of the seats.

“I’m exposing the truth about Tesla Cybertruck depreciation. I spent $100,000 on my Foundation Series Tesla Cybertruck 2 years and four months ago. Then I put 25,000 miles on it. What do you think it’s worth today?” he asks.

How Much Is The Cybertruck Worth?

Following this, he records himself holding up a black Tesla-branded paper to the camera. “I have the trade-in value right here in this little card holder. Are you ready to see it? Are you curious? Okay, here we go," he says. Upon doing so, he shows that his ride is worth $73,500, a figure that’s got him thinking of getting rid of it.
