Nigerian forwards Akor Adams and Samuel Chukwueze will go head-to-head when Venezia visit AC Milan’s San Siro Stadium on Friday (today), as the two sides open the second matchday of the 2026/27 Italian Serie A season.
Chukwueze, who has been deployed in a new wing-back role by AC Milan head coach Ruben Amorim, will be looking to continue the impressive start he made in the Rossoneri’s 2-1 opening-day win at Torino, where Alphadjo Cisse and Adrien Rabiot scored after the break.
The 27-year-old’s pace and crossing ability are expected to remain a major threat to Venezia’s defence.
Adams, meanwhile, arrives at San Siro as Venezia’s record signing, having marked his debut for the newly promoted side with a brace in a 3-2 Coppa Italia win over Modena.
However, Venezia’s return to Serie A began poorly, as they suffered a 2-0 home defeat to Lecce on the opening weekend, a result that left head coach Giovanni Stroppa lamenting his side’s misfortune after having two goals disallowed.
