Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) police conducted a search at Kadambakulam government fish seed farm office in Thoothukudi district on Thursday and seized ₹1,56,000 in unaccounted cash.According to Police, permission has been granted to inland fishermen to fish in Kadambakulam under the share-fishing system from August 17 to September 30. However, the police received information that ₹3,000 each was being collected from fishermen at the fish farm for granting fishing permission.Based on the information, the DVAC police rushed to the spot, and conducted an inspection at the fish farm office. The police secured the premises and prevented anyone from leaving the office before conducting a search.During the search, the police found ₹1,56,000 in unaccounted cash at the office and seized the money.
