Ethereum’s stablecoin market cap grew by $116.1 million in a single day, a relatively quiet number that nonetheless reinforces a louder point: when it comes to stablecoins, Ethereum isn’t just winning. It’s the venue everyone else is trying to catch.

The network’s total stablecoin supply now sits in the neighborhood of $162 billion, representing roughly 54.5% of the entire global stablecoin market across 46 tracked blockchains. That global figure stands at approximately $297.8 billion, according to data aggregated by DefiLlama and Token Terminal.

Ethereum’s stablecoin moat keeps widening

To understand how dominant Ethereum is in this vertical, look at the competition. Tron, the second-largest chain for stablecoins, holds about $93.2 billion, which translates to a 31.3% market share. Solana, the third-place contender, manages $14.6 billion.

Put differently, Ethereum hosts nearly twice as many stablecoin dollars as Tron and more than eleven times Solana’s total.
