Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has arrived in Chisinau to take part in celebrations marking Moldova's Independence Day.

Presidential spokesperson Serhii Nykyforov stated this to journalists, according to Ukrinform.

According to him, as part of the visit, Zelensky will hold a bilateral meeting with Moldovan President Maia Sandu. A trilateral meeting of the three heads of state, also involving Romanian President Nicușor Dan, is also scheduled. The leaders were invited to Chisinau for Moldova's Independence Day celebrations on August 27.

As previously reported, during the night of August 27, while Russia was carrying out another aerial attack on Ukraine, five Russian drones entered Moldovan airspace.
