Ukrainian Defense Forces units have begun testing new robotic turrets equipped with Kalashnikov-system assault rifles in combat conditions.
According to Ukrinform, the Ministry of Defense reported this on its website.
The strike systems were developed based on technical specifications provided by Brave1, a defense innovation cluster.
The project received grant funding, and the developers needed less than six months to go from the initial idea to a working prototype.
Using standard Kalashnikov assault rifles makes it possible to reduce production costs and rapidly scale the deployment of ground robotic systems on the front line.
