Rajendranagar police have apprehended two persons, including a 17-year-old boy, in connection with the murder of a 23-year-old Nepali national in Jana Chaitanya Colony.
The accused were identified as Mohammed Sufiyan Sohil Farash, 21, and a 17-year-old child in conflict with the law. Police seized a Honda Activa and the mobile phone of the deceased.
The victim, Nagendra Majhi, worked as a cook at a hotel in Attapur and lived with his wife in Jana Chaitanya Phase-I, Rajendranagar. On Monday night, he told his wife, Chandra Budha, that he was stepping out to smoke.
When he did not return and his phone was switched off, she searched for him around 1 a.m. on Tuesday and found him lying on the roadside near the under-construction Pranava Villas in Jana Chaitanya Colony. He had suffered a head injury on the left side of his forehead and his mobile phone was missing.
Based on her complaint, Rajendranagar police registered a murder case and began an investigation.
