District Collector Sumit Kumar on Thursday (August 27, 2026) conducted a surprise inspection of Sanjeevani Urban Primary Health Centre at Prashanth Nagar in Chittoor, and reviewed the facilities and services.The Collector checked patient registration, availability of medicines, attendance of medical staff, laboratory services, Digital Nerve Centre (DNC) facilities and sanitation.Directing the health officials to ensure timely and quality treatment and maintain adequate stocks of essential medicines, the Collector asked them to discharge their duties responsibly and ensure that patients faced no inconvenience.Sumit Kumar reviewed the utilisation of ₹1.5 lakh sanctioned for the urban health centre and sought details of the expenditure. He highlighted the need for regular monitoring of healthcare services and cleanliness on the premises.The Collector urged residents to create an Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) ID to maintain and link their digital health records.
