Qatar’s Foreign Ministry says Iran and Qatar discussed agreement to implement “joint project” to clear mines from the Strait of Hormuz as well as “efforts to reduce escalation and create appropriate conditions for dialogue”.
Iran’s president has called for unity among Muslim nations, despite their differences. Speaking at the 40th International Islamic Unity Conference in Tehran, Masoud Pezeshkian said: “No Muslim country’s territory should be used against another Muslim nation”.
