The company laid out its plan at its 2026 CEO Investor Day, with more than 10 hybrid models in North America by 2030 and hybrids making up roughly half of regional sales, a strategy also flagged in recent coverage from the Financial Times.
That is not a side bet. Hyundai delivered 489,656 vehicles in the US during the first half of 2026, up 3% year over year, with the Tucson, Palisade, and a growing hybrid lineup doing the heavy lifting.
