Kylian Mbappe reminded everyone why he’s been the most dangerous striker in Spanish football for two years running. The Frenchman scored three goals in Real Madrid’s 4-1 demolition of Real Sociedad on August 26, putting his side top of La Liga with a perfect six points from two matches.

The hat-trick came at the Santiago Bernabeu. Mbappe scored in the 40th, 60th, and 80th minutes, spacing his goals across the match.

What made the performance even more striking was the contrast with Madrid’s season opener against Espanyol. In that match, Mbappe fired off 10 shots without finding the net.

Against Real Sociedad, he flipped the script entirely. Eight shots, seven on target, three in the back of the net.
