Mbappe’s treble, combined with a goal from Vinicius Junior and two assists from Jude Bellingham, ensured Madrid made it two wins from two under Mourinho.
The victory marked Mourinho’s first home game back at the Bernabeu since returning as Real Madrid coach, following last weekend’s late 2-1 victory at Espanyol.
The Portuguese manager kept faith with the same starting XI and was rewarded with an impressive attacking display from his star trio.
