Aldi is slashing the price of its viral “chicken wine” to less than £10.‌The budget supermarket is reducing the price of Le Grand Poulet Rosé Magnum from £11.99 to £9.99. The latest price cut means shoppers can get the equivalent of two bottles for less than £10.‌The wine is the supersized version of Aldi’s viral Le Petit Poulet Rosé, which became known as “chicken wine” thanks to the chicken illustration on its label.‌The original wine first went viral on TikTok in 2024, with shoppers struggling to pronounce its French name and instead giving it the much simpler nickname. This supersized bottle is the latest version of the viral “Chicken Wine”, which originally referred to the French drink La Vieille Ferme Rosé, produced in the Rhône by Famille Perrin.Fans struggling to pronounce the French name dubbed it “the chicken wine” due to the label illustration. Aldi subsequently launched its own Le Petit Poulet Rosé, with the standard-sized bottle currently priced at £6.29.‌The deal will be available in Aldi stores from August 27, while stocks last.
