NewsUK NewsMetropolitan PoliceParamedics were called to Well Street in Hackney this afternoon following reports that a man had been stabbed.16:17, 26 Aug 2026Updated 16:55, 26 Aug 2026A man has been rushed to hospital following reports of a stabbing near a primary school in Hackney.‌The victim, whose age is yet to be released, was found injured on Well Street shortly before 1.20pm today (August 26).‌Paramedics and London's Air Ambulance treated him at the scene before taking him to a major trauma centre. His condition is currently unknown.‌Photos of the scene show blue-and-white tape blocking off the pavement between Meat x Butchers and Mega Food Centre on Well Street, whilst a wider cordon remains in place between Frampton Park Road and Holcroft Road.A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called at 1:18pm today (26 August) to reports of a stabbing on Well Street, Hackney, E9.‌“We sent an ambulance crew, paramedics in fast response cars, and an incident response officer. We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance. The first paramedic arrived in less than six minutes.“We treated a patient at the scene and took him to a major trauma centre as a priority by road.”The Mirror has asked the Metropolitan Police for comment.Article continues belowThis is a Breaking News story.
