In a shocking incident, a 50-year-old woman on Wednesday surrendered before the village administrative officer in Varichiyur, claiming to have murdered her 32-year-old son two months ago and buried him.The police said the son, who was addicted to alcohol and drugs, had been creating a nuisance and often quarrelling with his mother.Two months ago, he had allegedly assaulted the woman. She had reportedly pushed him down and hit him with an iron rod, following which he died.The woman claimed that she had pushed the body into a pit and buried it.
