Ukraine’s Defense Forces have rejected a claim by Russian forces that they had allegedly captured the settlement of Pysarivka in the Sumy region.

According to Ukrinform, the Kursk Group of Forces said this on Facebook.

“Another statement by the Russian invaders claiming the capture of Pysarivka in the Sumy region is once again untrue. The settlement remains under the control of Ukraine’s Defense Forces, and fighting in the area is ongoing,” the statement said.

The military noted that “this is not the first time Pysarivka has been ‘liberated.’ On July 23, enemy propagandists already reported that they had ‘control over most of the village.’ Therefore, we would not be surprised if they have to ‘liberate’ it for a third or even fourth time. Taking credit for nonexistent achievements is a longstanding Russian tradition.”

The military advised the enemy to make up its mind whether Pysarivka is “under control” or is being “liberated” over and over again, while urging Ukrainians to rely on official reports from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine rather than dubious reports by Russian media.
