Russian military commanders are selling fuel allocated for the armed forces to civilians in Rostov-on-Don and the temporarily occupied cities of Donetsk and Luhansk.
According to Ukrinform, the ATESH partisan movement reported this on Telegram, citing its agents within Russia’s 70th Motorized Rifle Division, which is carrying out combat missions on the Kramatorsk front.
The Russian occupiers are reportedly selling the fuel for prices starting at 300 rubles. Even at these prices, it is being actively purchased.
As a result, the Russian unit has reportedly faced an acute shortage of fuel and lubricants. Its personnel lack the fuel needed to operate vehicles, armored equipment and motorcycles. Consequently, troops are being forced to go into assault operations on foot.
“Military personnel are left without the cover of armored vehicles, while evacuating the wounded by vehicle becomes impossible. As a result, the number of casualties in the unit has increased significantly in recent times,” the partisans said.
