The €57 increase will also push up night and weekend premiums.
Slovakia’s minimum wage will rise by €57 to €972 a month from January 2027, pushing up not only the lowest salaries but also premiums for working nights and weekends.
The new level is 5.9 percent higher than the €915 minimum wage in 2026.
The minimum wage will be set at €972 after employers and trade unions failed to reach a different agreement at tripartite talks, Labour Minister Erik Tomáš (Hlas) said.
Under Slovak law, if the social partners fail to agree, the minimum wage is automatically set at 60 percent of the country’s average nominal wage two years earlier. That wage stood at €1,620 in 2025, putting the 2027 minimum at €972.
