The draft electoral rolls for the four Assembly constituencies in Gadag district—Shirahatti (SC), Gadag, Ron and Nargund—were published on Monday as part of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.Addressing presspersons in Gadag on Monday, Deputy Commissioner C.N. Sridhar said that the claims and objections period will be open till September 23 and the final electoral rolls will be published on October 27.Eligible residents can apply for inclusion through Form 6, deletion through Form 7 and corrections or change of residence through Form 8.Mr. Sridhar said that the draft rolls contains 7,82,232 electors, comprising 3,92,460 men, 3,89,723 women and 49 third gender voters.This is a reduction of 1,20,715 voters from the 9,02,947 recorded as on June 16. The ASDDOs cases comprise 71,280 permanent migrants, 30,318 deceased voters, 13,537 duplicate/already registered voters, 5,192 untraceable or absent voters and 388 others.The district has also identified 25,975 electors requiring notices — 20,891 cases involving anomalies/inconsistencies and 5,084 cases where mapping links were unavailable.Such electors have been asked to furnish supporting documents to Booth Level Officers for verification.The number of polling stations has increased from 967 to 983, with 16 additional stations established during the revision. The district has 1,428 service personnel electors.Mr. Sridhar urged voters to verify their names in the draft rolls and submit claims or objections through the ECINET mobile application, the Election Commission’s voter portal, Booth Level Officers, Electoral Registration Officers or Tahsildar offices.Applicants seeking inclusion must submit Form 6 along with the prescribed declaration, recent passport-size photograph and documents supporting age and ordinary residence, he said.The draft rolls and the list of electors marked under the ASDDOs category have been made available through the Chief Electoral Officer, Karnataka, and Gadag district administration websites.
