The draft electoral rolls prepared as part of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls 2026 has been published in Dharwad district with 13,53,946 voters included.Addressing presspersons in Dharwad on Monday, Deputy Commissioner and District Electoral Officer Snehal R. said that details of 13,53,946 voters, constituting 83.48% of the 16,21,961 voters on the earlier electoral rolls, have been verified and included in the draft rolls.“As many as 2,68,015 voter names have been left out of the draft rolls. Of these, 52,791 voters are reported dead, 1,25,287 have permanently migrated, 27,185 are duplicate entries and 62,079 are found to be absent. Another 673 names have been excluded under other categories,” she said.Claims, objectionsThe public has been given an opportunity to file claims and objections from August 24 to September 23.Eligible voters can approach the Electoral Registration Officers (EROs), Assistant EROs and Booth Level Officers or submit applications online through the Election Commission’s voter services portal (voters.eci.gov.in) and ECI mobile application.Ms. Snehal said that eligible voters whose names have not been included in the draft rolls can apply for inclusion by submitting Form 6 along with the prescribed declaration.Those whose names have been omitted despite being eligible will have to file the appropriate forms during the revision process.Those who attain the age of 18 years on October 1, 2026 can submit Form 6 for enrolment. Voters requiring corrections in their electoral details or seeking transfer to another polling station within the same Assembly constituency can submit the relevant applications.The draft rolls have been made available at polling stations, gram panchayat offices, urban local body offices, taluk offices and offices of the EROs and Assistant EROs.They have also been made available on the websites of the District Election Office: https://dharwad.nic.in/en/elections/ and the Chief Electoral Office: https://ceo.karnataka.gov.in/asddo.html.The Deputy Commissioner has urged political parties and eligible voters to continue cooperating with the administration to ensure that the revision exercise is completed effectively.A meeting of representatives of political parties was also held under the chairmanship of Ms. Snehal to brief them on the publication of the draft electoral rolls.Additional Deputy Commissioner Geetha C.D., Hubballi-Dharwad Municipal Corporation Commissioner Rudresh S.
